Avant-Garde

The Avant-Garde boutique on rue Verdaine opened in March 2014 and praises the bohemian look with panache and creativity. “I wanted a lively shop” says Elisabeth Boissieux, the owner of the fashion store. Bet won!

80% of brands or designers are exclusively presented in Geneva. Among them Laurence Dacade, shoe designer for Chanel and designer of her eponymous brand. The Laurence Dacade shoes are sometimes embroidered, sometimes studded. Ikkim’o is looking for vintage fabrics to reinterpret them, especially as a Kimono, in her workshop in Indonesia. Her collection of shirts are unique. If you love wearing a blazer, you will love the brand Blazé Milano with silk crepe, wool or other noble fabrics. The Avant-Garde boutique also sells the perfect jeans made by an American brand – R13 – in Italy. Perfect fit.

A permanent exhibition of Little Alyâa takes place at Avant-Garde. Little Alyâa is a little girl created by the Egyptian-Swiss artist Alyâa Kamel. However, the drawings of the mischievous Little Akyâa are changed according to the seasons. Next week, Little Alyâa intends to show you how much she likes the mountains and I am sure that she has more than one trick in her bag!
