When you have a lactose-intolerant friend, another one who’s allergic to gluten and another who is vegetarian, the question “where shall we eat?” becomes a real pain. And if on top of that you include the friend who is 100% carnivore, then you might as well just give up and head back home. To avoid such situations, Slup envisioned a place where people who have intolerances and are allergic to gluten and lactose would feel at ease. They also imagined a place where vegans and vegetarians would have options. And also a place where carnivores wouldn’t feel frustrated – in other words, Slup imagined a place for everyone. Success! At Slup, you can eat gluten-free crêpes, beef or veggie burgers. From Monday to Friday, three plats du jour are on offer: one with meat, one with fish, and a vegan one. The products are not only fresh, but also organic and local. I also managed to bring a friend who swears only by meat. She would say that Slup is a place for herbivores. Obviously I reassured her by specifying that they also have meat dishes. In the end, albeit unconvinced, she came along and humored me by ordering the vegan plat du jour. She discovered that meatless meals could be just as delicious as a good steak. And now, she’s the one who asks to go back 😉 You should come too and try out lactose and gluten-free cuisine! Who knows, you might even be pleasantly surprised!
