Bach meets Kennedy meets Gershwin

Nigel Kennedy returns to Geneva for the first time since 2012! Meet us at the Victoria Hall on Tuesday, December 18th at 8pm.

The violist & violinist will perform his latest album: a tribute to Georges Gershwin and Bach, whom he likes to refer to as his faithful friend. Please don’t call him the enfant terrible anymore, he’s getting tired of it (according to the Guardian!).
Kennedy told the audience that his own debut on the club’s stage was at 14, with Django Reinhardt’s great swing-violin partner Stéphane Grappelli – an introduction to improv looseness and rhythmic audacity that has stayed with him for life. In 1993, Kennedy recorded a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s Fire. The prodigy plays by no rules. Only music is important. His concerts are known to be very exciting!
