Almiros Beach, on the other hand, is just five kilometers from Kalamata town and is actually an extension of Kalamata Beach.
The waters are calm and warm. The 4 km long Kalamata beach is a perfect destination for all tastes, welcoming beach bars, restaurants, and of course clear waters.

Kalamata being the second most populated city of the Peloponnese peninsula, it is famous as the land of Kalamata olives (and the Kalamaticanos dance – described by Homer in the Iliad made around the spear of Achilles).
