The French-Swiss artist Joanna Goodale had performed many concerts in Geneva before she released her first concept-album Bach in circle: a fusion between Bach’s work and Sufi music. Her tour had begun in Geneva and was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Confined at home but in good health, Joanna Goodale launched a series of intimate online concerts every Tuesday since the 21st of April.

A few weeks before STOMP returns to Switzerland, Luke Cresswell – one of the two founders of the show – was visiting My Big Geneva. The artist has never been interviewed in Switzerland so I jumped at the occasion to meet him in person and ask him a few questions.

At the very last minute, Zëro agreed to our interview during the Antigel Festival. Once I arrived at the Alhambra theatre, I was taken to a room to meet Eric Linder (co-director of the festival) and the two women of my dreams. I was first introduced to Virginie Despentes, then Béatrice Dalle. My heart suddenly began beating very fast.

Resilience is the title of Abdul Rahman Katanani’s latest exhibition at the Galerie Analix in Geneva. The opening took place during the 15th Film Festival and International Forum on Human Rights (where I bumped into Isabelle Gattiker, the director of the FIFDH).

I first met Sylvie Fleury back in 2005, through a mutual friend of ours. After a few ad hoc discussions, her spirit, her vision and her work regularly challenged me. Renowned contemporary Genevoise artist, her colorful works borrow codes from women's locker rooms, American mechanics, practices with esoteric aspirations, art history or modernist emblems.

So there are mornings like that, where you get up to meet 2 Michelin stars chef Thierry Marx and taste his soy risotto, his semi-shelled shellfish, his charcoal beef or his conical quail to conclude with a Swiss chocolate ganache. The service is finished at the Mandarin Oriental in Geneva, he stands in front of me and orders a coffee.
