L’Echappée Belle

Melanie and Anne, the owners of L’Echappée Belle (i.e. the beautiful escape), were neighbours before they decided to open this poetical place. They named it after a novel written by Anna Gavalda and brought together their expertise: Anne knows all about kids and what makes them happy. Melanie, on the other hand, loves interior decoration. Step by step, as you walk into this little heaven, surprises abound: small furniture, stationary, lamps, dishes, jewellery, accessories, storage boxes, etc. If you’re hunting for the perfect gift, for sure you will find it as gift ideas are absolutely everywhere. As for the little ones, you will be able to choose between a large variety of toys, fun games, bedroom decor, puppets, etc.

In 2012, L’Echappée Belle was nominated as the best welcoming service by the city of Geneva. And this is totally understandable: Anne and Melanie listen carefully to the customer but most of all, allow each of us to breathe and spend a quiet time wandering around without being asked tons of questions (such as: what do you need? What are you looking for? why are you here? When are you going to finally buy something, etc…).

PS: we thought it was pointless to list the number of local artisans and international brands the store offers. Our advice: just open the door with your eyes wide open!
