Rembrandt in Geneva

Geneva has a lot of things going on in all levels and one important event for the arts fartsy crowd (including myself) should take the time and discover Rembrandt at the Penthes Museum. The exhibition has been extended all the way through October 23rd 2016!  Here you will have the opportunity to come up close and discover Rembrandt in black and white.
Rembrandt is a Dutch artist who is known to be one of the greatest European artist for painting and etching.  There is no other artist than Rembrandt that is able to bring life to the richness of the Dutch Golden Age. He is best known for capturing movement, light and shadows in his portraits, self-portraits, biblical and historical scenes.
The meeting between Netherlands and Switzerland in this exhibition will show how connected the two countries are through his art. Also, Museum Penthes has created a tablet application that has been developed especially for the exhibition. It offers an interactive tour that allows one to discover the works of the Rembrandt in detail.

I recommend you to take the time, enjoy the surroundings and have something to eat in their beautiful restaurant.
