The Fix Bar Coffee Bar is a cozy place where you can sit down, chat with a friend and enjoy an espresso macchiato with an apricots tart. The place has large bay windows, nestled in a cooperative building in the district of Nations.
Managed by Guillaume, the happy owner of the place, his team makes delicious pastries, mueslis, tarts, cheesecake and cookies. When your belly screams for a good lunch, the buffet displays salads, quiches, sandwiches and delicious soups, which fill the room with their tasty aromas. The products are local and if possible organic and everything is prepared according to one rule: tasty and affordable cuisine.
In the afternoon, the smell of melted chocolate spreads gently in this wooded café and feeds your soul. In terms of drinks, the place offers homemade chocolate, original and homemade ice tea and a large selection of fruit juices. Coffee, a blend of Arabicas from South America and Asia, is roasted in the Valais and accompanies the pastries with perfection. A wide selection of bottled beers from Geneva’s micro breweries spread out in the fridge to brighten up your happy hour. At the back of the premise, a shelf merges into the retro decor to offer grocery products: quinoa, soufflé, flaxseed, lentils, flour and coffee. Mugs made out of bamboo fill the entrance and provide an eco-friendly alternative to take your cappuccino.
As a point of interest: before opening his coffee shop, Guillaume had a trolley which he dragged in the markets of Geneva. He therefore established strong relationships with local producers, while providing a bit of comfort for his clients in the summer and winter time, during all weather conditions. You can still find him at the market of Plainpalais every Sunday from 8.30am to 2.30pm.
