L’Escalier

Here you are immediately made comfortable. The boss, Yves, on the first line: “Hi, I’m Yves. Welcome!” followed by an energetic handshake for the men and a kiss for the ladies (And yes, you have to get used to it, Yves is like that!).

The menu is short, but the chief knows why. Everything is made on the spot. The delicatessen is cut and carefully selected. In this place the dry meat is sliced, cheese is cut and everything you taste is real and authentic. The seasoning of veal tartare is just right, and as it is also an oyster bar, oysters are great. And sometimes sea urchins are on the menu. And if not, Saturday it is raclette time.
As for the bread that accompanies all this, it came out of the oven a few hours before.

In short, L’Escalier is one of those places where taking an “apéritif” or a dinner awakens the senses. Ah! One more thing: The inside staircase turns, like the bottles on which they rest would do with your head.
