The Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art (i.e. Artistic Craft Days) in Geneva will be held from April 5th until the 7th, a unique (and free entrance) opportunity to meet with craftsmen and artists who make us dream. Since 2002, this European event (which started in France) is being held in our city where each one of us can discover the backstage of a show or a theatre. The Journées des Métiers d’Art also (and above all) honour the craftsman’s work, his passion, his precision, his meticulousness; his “job” is so unusual and often tends to disappear over the years of industrialisation in a world where sometimes we forget that we’re still allowed to dream…

We can forget our daily problems, release the pressure by listening to the story of a craftsman who preaches beauty. And we can do that without spending a penny. This is an invitation to extraordinary meetings which we beg you to respond to. Between the discovery of noble materials and true know-how, we leave it up to you to decide whether you wish to meet a watchmaker or a designer, an illustrator, a costume maker, etc. Your eyes will sparkle, that we can promise you.
