In 2010, Selah Sue performed as the opening act of Prince’s concert in Anvers. She made it to the top after many difficult years as a teenager, which she described through punchy lyrics. Behind her blue eyes and blond hair, Selah mixes soul and reggae influences to sing her “mal de vivre”. She writes her own songs since the age of 15 years and tried to find the answers to her questions by studying psychology. Music will be the ultimate remedy, her antidote, the answer, I guess, she was looking for. Her fellow compatriot Milow collaborated to release her first maxi called Black Part Love. Followed by the rapper Cee-Lo Green and Meshell Ndegeocello who brought her unique voice to release her second album, Reason.
