In order to escape the greyness in Geneva without going away, what could be better than a good Vietnamese restaurant? At the corner of Boulevard de Saint-Georges and Rue des Rois lays an exquisite restaurant. The tasteful decor, rattan chairs, wood panelling, and umbrellas that fool your senses and allow you to believe that the ceiling lights are suns, will quickly help you forget about winter.
But I have to warn you right away: book ahead! It would be a shame not to enjoy such a good meal owing to the lack of available space. We were lucky to be seated at the only table left that night.
After your eyes, your palate will be under the spell of the delights you will taste. As a starter, I suggest the succulent mango and shrimp salad. Then, you should try the vegetable tofu, if you are vegetarian, or a chicken curry. I recommend their delicious sticky rice, flavoured with some lightly fried garlic and onions.
I could have stopped there, as my stomach was already full, but my gourmandise, always asking to be satiated, let me be tempted by the ginger crème brûlée. Just the thought of it makes my mouth water…
Finally, if you add to that the finely decorated plates and the kindness of the waiters, you will understand that everything works in unison to fully satisfy your desires.
