The HomeBrew workshop will teach you how to brew your own beer during a two week-end session; a sustainable & cost-effective time out of your routine.
Our selection of local beers has grown bigger this year with a homebrew workshop, located in the village of Cervens, 30km away from the Geneva city center.
Thibault Masson will guide you through each step of the homemade process to produce 10L of your own beer. He organises through the Foyer Rural of Cervens friendly and cosy HomeBrew Workshops throughout the year, where you can learn how to brew your own beer and then… drink it. Could break the routine of buying your own beer and it’s cost-effective!
Several recipes are available according to your taste; the “lighter” one being the Amarillo Single Hop Ale. Expect one session of 8 hours and an additional one of 2 hours to bottle the beer. Don’t drink it yet! The yeast needs a few days to actually consume the sugar, and then a little more time is needed for the beer to absorb the carbon dioxide.
All scientific questions will be answered by Thibault ; bring family or friends but no more than 8 people all together.
