Rohr’s ice-cream

One day, Hans Rohr took his bike and rode into Geneva (because it was much cheaper than the train) to start work at the 44, Bd Pont-d’Arve. At the time, he was just an ordinary employee but he soon became a chocolate master when he bought the boutique from his own boss on the 1st of March 1936. Today, his son Henri is continuing the tradition which we all know about; however today is also summer and I won’t be talking about chocolate. I’d rather refresh you with a few words dedicated to Rohr’s home made ice cream. Lemon, green apple, orange, peach, enjoy it on the spot or bring a piece of Rohr’s frozen heaven without artificial colouring nor preservatives at home.

Rue Vautier 7, 1227 Carouge
Summer opening hours: Sun & Mon 11.30am-8pm; Tue & Wed 11.30am-9.30pm; Thu, Fri & Sat 11.30am-11.30pm

The ice-creams are also available since Easter in front of the boutiques in La Praille and on place du Molard
