Everybody likes Italian food, right? Or let’s put it this way, no one dislikes Italian food. You’ll rarely find a “bad Italian restaurant”, but you’re also not very likely to find one that is absolutely delicious and very different from your usual one. Let’s get out of our comfort zone and try something different then. An Italian restaurant which combines the classics you’re used to as well as more sophisticated dishes you’ve probably never heard of. Please raise your hand if you are familiar with one of those: kingfish with its safran and swiss chard sauce, panna cotta served with lavender and nectarines, Chiusoni served with tomatoes, pecorino and almonds.
And the service is worth mentioning too. If you need some advice, you will be greeted with a smile and well informed. If you leave your purse on the floor, the waiter will give you a bag hanger.
Of course, all of this has a price. Nothing outrageous, rest assured, but slightly more than the one you’re used to. Oh, and let’s not forget, Osteria della Bottega is open on Sundays.
