Our Foodie Habits

Staying at home saves lives, so we’re boldly making our way to the farm to see nature flourish: budding trees and ducks having replaced us along certain lake paths. All of this makes us want to plunge our hands into the terroir, our Swiss terroir because knowing the borders closed in recent weeks, we head straight and heartlessly to the good farms in our area!

Order online at Ferme Courtois where courtesy is always required, as well as precautionary measures to stop the pandemic.

With priority to local and organic produce, Ferme de Budé prepares baskets of fresh fruits and vegetables. Online booking recommended.

The Ferme du Lignon chickens are raised outdoors and you can visit them on the spot. The Lignon farmers guarantee less than 4 days between laying and … ending up on your plate.

Finally, Genève Terroir  makes you discover all the riches of the Geneva terroir thanks to its interactive online map or app. Each farm has its specific ordering system and at some of them, it is possible to directly buy the fruit of our desires, depending on availability of course: baked chicken or beautiful green and plump asparagus.

Since April 18, the city of Carouge has been hosting isolated food stands. The local producers welcome you on Wednesdays (8 a.m. – 2 p.m.), Thursdays (12 p.m. – 5 p.m.) and Saturdays (8 a.m. – 2 p.m.). And La Halle de Rive is always open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
