Born at night, but not last night! The Café Universal has been in Plainpalais since 1903 – that’s 110 Big years! A charming place steeped in history with an ecclectic flea market decor that takes you back in time – we have major deco envy for the original chandeliers and huge mirrors! We love the typical bistrot fair with a rebellious touch, but mostly the bohemian vibes and lived in feel. A special shout out for the “Jack” Wellington and fries (52.-) and their creative wine list. Whimsy and imaginative attitude and good tast make this a popular evening haunt for a Big night out, whether it be a candle-lit date night or a dinner catching up with friends. Don’t forget to leave a souvenir Post-it on your way out – Big love guaranteed!
