Let’s face it, one of their most recent opus, Area 52, wasn’t a Big success. And I always prefer to start off with the bad news. In my humble opinion, collaborating in the soundtrack of the latest Pirates of the Caribbean wasn’t such a good idea as it seemed they had left their creativity and innovation with the Queen’s Anne’s Revenge (in the movie). It can happen. But that doesn’t mean they don’t have talent and I am even going to try to persuade you to attend their 21st century Mexican Bonnie & Clyde’s duet concert concert on Monday, December 15th.
Rodrigo (Sanchez) Y Gabriela (Quintero), are two unconditional fans of Metallica who have evolved within the trash-metal scene of Mexico in the 90s. But the true revolution came only after they left their hometown, with two simple wooden guitars. The musicians acquired a reputation by playing on the streets of Dublin, Ireland and gained a cult following. As much entertainers as musicians their live shows are legendary, their interpretations of Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin) and Orion (Metallica) are masterpieces. Their music spans a number of genres including nuevo flamenco, rock, pop and heavy metal.
If you want to feel fire in your heart, don’t hesitate.
