Let’s leave fast fashion in the past to support eco-friendly and socially responsible brands such as SEP Jordan.
SEP Jordan is a fashion and lifestyle brand focusing on social impact. SEP stands for Social Enterprise Project and is the first private Jordanian company to set up in the Jerash ”Gaza” camp. The SEP artists are mainly women refugees some of which are Syrian. Unlike in fast fashion brands, the artists are paid above market rates that allow them to afford a comfortable life and help support their families.
The materials SEP Jordan use come from Italy and are then embroidered in Jordan by the artists who go through 2 months of training before acquiring the skills needed to become certified SEP artists. Each piece -from the Keffiyeh to the pillows and cashmere blankets – is unique as each craftswoman will choose her own colors & patterns to delicately hand-embroider.
