The “Ice Cream Rolls-Royce” as I like to call it is coming to Geneva thanks to Coralie and Nicolas, two ice lovers living in our city. And if you’ve never heard of this new ice concept, let us share with you some refreshing information: the Ice Cream Roll was discovered by a Frenchie in Thailand and the technique was developed in the South East Asia. It consists of a frozen plate which helps make an ice cream right in front of the customers allowing the client to already see what he’s going to taste. This technique went back to Paris where the Frenchie along with two friends made a few adjustments: only natural products are used, no artificial colouring and no preservative. But the ice rolls are still made right in front of you. You will be able to taste the IceRoll during the Geneva Lake Festival at the Darkwood corner from Friday, August 5th. And this is a second reason, after le Grabuge to attend this festival.
PS: rumour has it that the 3* Michelin Star chef Thierry Marx is crazy about iceRolls… let’s see if the genevois think the same.
