Open 7 days a week from 11 am to 2 am, Zhegra Kebab has been a reference in Geneva for more than 18 years. The Arifi family from Kosovo offers consistency and quality worthy of a made-in-Switzerland, kebab sandwich with chicken, beef, or veal.
The kebab also comes on a plate, wrapped or with Falafel for the veggies. For my part, the chicken version wins all the votes any time of the day. Ms. Arifi explains to me that the secret lies in the mixture of the (Swiss) meat and its spices. A well-kept secret.
The kebab is served in a colossal way, both in the fillings – carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, onions – as well as meat or sauces. It goes without saying that you can “compose” your kebab yourself and I will even add that one kebab is enough for two if you have a sparrow’s appetite.
The rest of the menu is displayed on a board, probably as old as the restaurant, above the grill: French fries (frozen but crispy and melting on the inside), hamburger, mixed grill, Börek, etc.
To take away or on the spot.
