ArtCarouge week-end

A new name for a new beginning? Art7Carouge becomes ArtCarouge where art is prolific. The number 7 has been removed to make way for an association (since 2005) of galleries which, as you know, organise a common opening twice a year with the presence of artists.
The next opening will take place on the 4th and 5th of March, from 11am to 5pm so let’s start our visual pilgrimage with the Krisal gallery where the German artist Torsten Solin, a student of Professor Hans-Peter Adamski, breaks mirrors in order to remind us that our own image and that of others is always subjective, somewhere between reality and imagination. The Broken Mirrors series was presented for the first time in 2016 in Jena: it’s so sensual!
Head to l’Espace JB on the legendary route from the north to the south of Indian: Vasantha Yogananthan interprets the course of Rama, an epic story written in Sanskrit in the third century BC.
The Salon Vert will be silver-colored since the American artist Carol Prusa uses the technique of the point of silver on wood or on fiber glass for her creations.
The Annick Zufferey gallery presents the contemporary jewelry designer Fabrice Schaefer, professor in jewel design at the Head: titanium skeleton contrasting materials that evoke femininity and the forces of nature …
The Museum of Carouge offers a retrospective (with lectures and tales for children) of the Geneva artist Yvan Larsen and his animal sculptures.
Jorg Brockmann zealously photographed Louise Bourgeois and her workshop at NOV gallery. While Pascal Liengme only speaks through different media and techniques in order to discover himself, practicing several disciplines to translate the concept of creation at Marianne Brand gallery.
Depth and lightness will be honored at the Ligne Treize gallery with Alexandre Hollan and his recurring themes: trees and silent lives.
Last stop at the Series Rares gallery to contemplate (or buy) ceramic sculptures by Jean-Marie Borgeaud: pieces asleep over the years, hatched in the intimacy of a workshop, like the grass of the prairie, invite you to a meeting.

My only regret, Maya Guidi will not open the doors of her gallery, I will surely miss her… 🙁
